We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock. I say all the above to give that the background I'm in is a little different than what alot of you are proposing but I believe the core issue is still the same. Platform : Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 7. Very seamless - just connect push2tv adapter to power & HDMI on TV.

I'm sure the issue is the display driver microsoft uses for the virtual machine not being HDCP compliant, and would think that this would be the easiest solution is to make it HDCP compliant. though I know Vudu does on my blueray player. I only bring this up as turning off hyper-v will definitely be an issue here seeing how I want to actually use HDCP on the virtual machine. I can run fine with Hyper-V enabled and the virtual machine running on the windows 8 computer itself, it is the virtual I've been experiencing the same issue (cable card, and power dvd etc) using a windows 8 system with a windows 7 hyper-v test vm. Let me know if there is anything else that I can provide Microsoft in order to help get this problem resolved. I checked the Microsoft Connect link you provided but I agree with ETank52, there was nothing for Hyper-V and the only section for Windows Media Center was for the Media Center Program Guide.Īs such, I could not find any place to post the information on Microsoft Connect. In fact, another person went further in the investigation and tracked the problem down to the Hyper-V virtual display driver. I also provided them copies of postings from other people who had the same problem and also tracked it down to a Hyper-V interaction. The support person and his manager that I dealt with were terrible. My experience with Microsoft support with regard to development tools (Visual Studio, SQL Server etc.) has been stellar.

I even volunteered to have Microsoft development run debug code on my PC to get the telemetry that they need to resolve the problem. I requested that they escalate the case to the next level of support. This is after I told him that the same PC works fine when Hyper-V is not installed.įurthermore, the same hardware works fine under Windows 7 Enterprise on the same PC (dual boot). I have what is supposed to be an open case with Microsoft support (Case # SRX1187519987) and I am sorry to say that the support person has no clue.Īfter I clearly showed that the problem was an interaction between purely Microsoft components of Windows 8 Professional, I got a call from his manager suggesting I get another video card to try. Ruby I have the same exact problem being discussed here. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
